How to apply DND gel

The DND application workflow is identical across original, DC, and DIVA sub-lines. The DND base and top gels work across all three plus the HEMA-free line, which simplifies salon inventory.

1. Prep the nail. Push cuticles, lightly buff the natural nail surface, dehydrate with DND Nail Prep.
2. Apply DND Base Gel. One thin coat. Cure 60 seconds LED or 2 minutes UV.
3. Apply color coat 1. Thin even layer cuticle to free edge. DC pigment density usually means coat 1 is already close to opacity. Cure 60 seconds LED.
4. Apply color coat 2. Build to full coverage. DC shades often need only 1 coat; original and DIVA typically need 2. Cure again.
5. Apply DND Top Gel. Seal with one coat, cap the free edge to extend wear. Cure 60 seconds LED.
6. Wipe the tacky layer. Standard DND Top requires alcohol wipe. The no-wipe variant in the DND DC line cures clean.

Care & maintenance for clients

DND gel polish wears 2 to 3 weeks reliably with proper aftercare. Share the three rules with clients at checkout:

• Cuticle oil daily. Hydrated cuticles reduce lifting at the proximal nail. Recommend client home stock from the salon's preferred cuticle oil brand.
• Glove for cleaning. Bleach, ammonia, and acetone-based household cleaners attack the gel film. Most premature wear traces back here.
• Book removal at week 3. Peeling off gel pulls the natural nail layer. 100 percent acetone soak with foil wrap for 10 minutes is the only safe removal.
