Frequently asked questions
What wax products does ND carry?
Around 12 listings that make a complete waxing setup: the GiGi 14 oz Wax Warmer and Deluxe Double Warmer, GiGi All Purpose Honee and Creme soft waxes and Brazilian Body Hard Wax, Pinky's bleached muslin strips (100) and 100-yard roll, Clean and Easy pre-wax cleanser, post-wax remover, aloe soothing gel, and shea restore lotion, and the Classy peach paraffin 36 lb case.
Soft wax or hard wax?
Soft wax (GiGi Honee or Creme) is spread thin and removed with a muslin strip, the fast choice for legs, arms, and backs; Honee melts at a low temperature and is the everyday can. Hard wax (GiGi Brazilian) sets on the skin and is pulled without a strip, the choice for brows, lip, underarms, and bikini where skin is thin and hair is coarse. The double warmer keeps both hot at once.
What are the pre- and post-wax products for?
The Clean and Easy pre-wax cleanser removes oil, make-up, and perspiration so the wax grips the hair. After the pull, the post-wax remover, a wheat-germ-oil formula, lifts residual wax from the skin and also cleans warmer rims and roller heads; the aloe vera gel with allantoin cools redness; the shea butter lotion with squalane and allantoin conditions the skin and doubles as the massage lotion before and after a paraffin dip.
What does a nail salon need to add waxing?
One warmer (the double if brows and legs are both on the menu), a can of Honee and a can of hard wax, a pack of strips and a roll, and one bottle each of cleanser, remover, aloe, and lotion. A 14 oz can covers many services because layers are thin; strips and the pre- and post-wax bottles are the monthly reorder. Keep wax capped, away from the lamp, and never return used wax to the can.
Are wax products sold at wholesale?
Yes. Every warmer, can, roll, and bottle at ND Nails Supply is wholesale-priced for everyone, with no business license, no minimum order, and no membership fee. Orders $100+ ship free, and in-stock items ordered before 2pm PT on weekdays leave the same day; the double warmer and the paraffin case ship by ground.
Wax products and accessories: a complete waxing setup from one page
A nail salon that adds brow, lip, or body waxing needs four things: a warmer, the wax, the strips, and the pre- and post-wax skin care. This page holds all four at wholesale from ND Nails Supply, around 12 listings: GiGi warmers and waxes (All Purpose Honee, Creme Wax, Brazilian Body Hard Wax), Clean and Easy pre-wax cleanser, post-wax remover, aloe soothing gel, and shea restore lotion, Pinky's bleached muslin strips and the 100-yard roll, and the Classy peach paraffin case for the paraffin dip that shares the same warmer shelf. It is a small page by count and a complete one by service.

How a waxing service runs with these products
- Cleanse. Wipe the area with the pre-wax cleanser so oils and make-up do not stop the wax from gripping.
- Apply. Soft wax (Honee or Creme) in a thin layer with the hair growth, then press a muslin strip and pull against the growth; hard wax in a thicker layer, let it set, and lift the edge and pull, no strip.
- Remove residue. Post-wax remover on a pad lifts the last traces of wax from the skin.
- Soothe. Aloe gel on the area to cool it and calm redness.
- Restore. Shea butter lotion to condition the skin, or send the client home with the aftercare instruction.
Between clients, the post-wax remover also cleans the warmer rim and any roller heads, so one bottle does two jobs.

The warmer is the only electrical spec on the page and it decides the menu: one can at a time on the 14 oz warmer, or a soft wax and a hard wax side by side on the Double, each at its own temperature, which is what a salon offering both leg waxing and Brazilian needs.
Warmer capacity, side by side

Setting up and running the warmer safely
- Place the warmer on a level, heat-safe surface away from the client's reach and the polish shelf, and let a new can melt fully (under 30 minutes on the 14 oz warmer) before the first service.
- Set the temperature for the formula: soft wax runs warmer and flows off the spatula in a ribbon; hard wax is worked cooler and thicker so it sets on the skin. On the Double, each side is set for its own can.
- Test on the inner wrist before every client; a wax that is comfortable there is safe on the body.
- Cleanse, wax, remove, soothe. Cleanse the skin, apply with a fresh spatula for each dip, remove with the muslin strip against the hair growth (soft wax) or by peeling the set wax (hard wax), then the post-wax remover and the aloe gel.
- Between clients, wipe the rim and lid, keep the lid on, and never return a used spatula to the can. At the end of the day switch off and let the wax set with the lid on; the removable lids on the Double come off for cleaning.
Troubleshooting a wax service
| Symptom | Cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Wax will not spread | Not fully melted, or the temperature set too low | Give the can its full melt time; raise the knob a step and re-test on the wrist |
| Client feels the wax burn | Too hot, especially soft wax on thin skin | Lower the temperature, wait, wrist-test again |
| Hard wax cracks when peeled | Applied too thin, or left too long | Apply thicker with a lip to grip, peel as soon as it sets |
| Soft wax leaves residue | Strip not pressed firmly, or wax too thick on the skin | Thin, even layer; press the strip and pull flat against the growth; post-wax remover for what is left |
| Skin red or irritated after | Cleanser skipped, or soothing step skipped | Pre-wax cleanser before, aloe gel and shea lotion after |
| Wax discolored or gritty in the can | Double-dipping spatulas, or the lid left off | One spatula per dip and the lid on between clients; replace the can |
Soft wax or hard wax?
Soft wax with strips is the faster choice for large areas such as legs, arms, and backs, and Honee's low melt and thin spread make it the everyday can in most salons. Hard wax sets on the skin and is pulled without a strip, which makes it the choice for brows, lip, underarms, and bikini, where the skin is thin and the hair is coarse; the GiGi Brazilian hard wax is formulated for exactly that. The Deluxe Double Warmer exists so a salon can keep both hot at once and switch between a leg and a brow without waiting for a can to melt.
Paraffin on the same shelf
Paraffin is a warm wax for a different purpose: the hands or feet are dipped, wrapped, and rested so the heat opens the skin and the wax seals in the lotion beneath it. The 36 lb peach case fills a paraffin warmer for months, and the Clean and Easy Restore lotion is written for use before and after a paraffin dip, so the paraffin add-on and the waxing service share one lotion. Paraffin is sold on the pedicure and manicure accessories page as well, because it is a pedicure upgrade as much as a spa one.
Stocking a wax station
An opening order is one warmer (the double if brows and legs are both on the menu), one can of Honee and one of hard wax, a pack of strips and a roll, and one bottle each of the cleanser, remover, aloe, and lotion. A 14 oz can covers many services because the layers are thin; the strips and the pre- and post-wax bottles are the items that run out first and are the monthly reorder. Keep waxes capped and away from the lamp, and never return used wax to the can.
Why a nail salon adds waxing
Because the client is already in the chair. A brow or lip wax takes ten minutes, needs no extra room, and is booked as an add-on to the manicure the client came for, so a wax station pays for its warmer in a few weeks of add-ons. The products on this page are the whole station: a warmer, two waxes, strips, and the four skin-care bottles, with nothing else to source. Paraffin sits on the same shelf because it uses the same kind of warmer and the same shea lotion, and it is sold as a pedicure or manicure upgrade rather than a separate service. A salon that wants to trial waxing buys the single 14 oz warmer and a can of Honee, and moves to the double warmer and the hard wax once brows and bikini are on the menu.
