How to use each finish
- Dip: prep the nail, apply the dip base, dip the nail in the Powder Perfection powder, tap off the excess, and repeat for a second layer. Seal with activator, then apply the dip top coat. No lamp required.
- Gel: prep and dehydrate with OPI Pro Bonder, brush on the matching base (Intelli Base for Intelli, ProStay Base for classic), then two thin color coats and the top coat, curing each layer under an LED lamp. Intelli cures 30 seconds per coat and the Intelli Top is no-wipe; classic GelColor cures 30 to 60 seconds and the top needs an alcohol wipe.
- Lacquer: apply base coat, two color coats, and top coat, then let it air dry 5 to 8 minutes between coats.
Pro tip: keep every coat thin. Thin layers set evenly, wear longer, and resist chipping. For the dip side, cap the free edge on the second powder layer so the tip does not wear through first.
Which finish should each client get?
- Client wants maximum strength or has thin, bendy nails: dip. The powder layers add structure and hold 3 to 4 weeks.
- Client wants a high-gloss classic manicure with a fast appointment: gel. Intelli's 30-second cure trims the service time and the finish wears up to 3 weeks.
- Client avoids lamps, or the shade is for toes only: lacquer. No cure, easy removal, and the same shade as the fingers.

Wear and care
- Expect 3 to 4 weeks of wear from the dip finish and up to 3 weeks from the gel finish with proper prep.

- Wear gloves for cleaning and dishes. Bleach, ammonia, and acetone-based household cleaners attack both the dip and gel film.
