How the colours are applied

1. Prep: file to shape, push back the cuticle, buff off the shine and dehydrate the plate.
2. Base gel: one thin coat, capped at the free edge, cured under an LED or UV lamp.
3. Colour coat one: one thin coat, kept off the skin, cured.
4. Colour coat two: a second coat brings the pigment to full depth, cured again.
5. Top gel: one coat, cured, then wipe the tacky layer if your top coat leaves one.
6. The lacquer half: air-dries over a base coat at home, no lamp needed.

Part, assortment or singles

The kit answers a different question from a part. A part asks how much of the wall you want. A kit asks whether you can run the service at all yet: it brings the gels as well as the colour, so nothing else has to be ordered before the first client sits down.

Matching services across the box

Every colour here comes as a gel and a matching lacquer, which is what lets a salon offer both a lamp service and a quick air-dry finish from one shelf. Where the same shade number also exists as a dip powder, a third service runs off the same colour without a second match. Check the shade number rather than the name when you cross between formats.
