Libra Nail Designs That Are Balanced and Beautiful

From September 22 to October 22, Libra rules the Zodiac. Venus governs this air sign so those who belong to it are known as seekers of beauty and harmony. Libras also have a reputation for being charming mediators who help people find common ground. They thrive when there’s balance and fairness and have high ideals. And when it comes to Libra nail designs to honor their birthright, there are lots of beautiful choices. There are so many options that a Libra might feel indecisive! Let’s explore Libra nail art to narrow it down to the perfect manicure this month.

Nail Designs Inspired by Libra

Symmetry, Drama, and Lots of Shine

Venus is Libra’s planet. It’s a colorful bright dot often mistaken for a star in the morning or evening sky. It symbolizes beauty, love, and harmony, which suit Libra’s style.

The intriguing counterpoint is the Zodiac symbol of balanced scales. They represent justice and fairness. So you might say that Libra loves symmetry, too.

This Libra nail art features mix and match nails with a warm palette that feels harmonious across the fingertips. Although each nail is different, there’s a common color and texture theme.  The chrome effects  and gems make it feel all the more luxurious, ideal for a birthday treat.

Sapphire isn’t the only blue linked to Libras. The gem lapis lazuli is tied to this time of the year. It’s a deep blue shade that stands for truth and reasoning. What’s more, there’s indigo blue that represents balance and intuition. So, if your Libra loves blue, now’s the right time of year to flaunt it on their nails.

Famous Libras

Kim Kardashian is likely the best-known Libra with stunning manicures. But there are many other celebrities who celebrate this month. For example, Bella Hadid, Serena Williams, Halsey, Julie Andrews, Jenna Ortega, and Mahatma Gandhi. Each one shows certain characteristics of Libras, like charm, diplomacy, grace, idealism, and artistic tendencies. Many Libras thrive in social settings, too.

Pastels and Gems

Pastel pink, blue, and green are suitable colors for the season as they represent the sign's graceful aura. Sapphire blue and opal are also smart choices as they are the birthstones. And each of these colors and gems means something to Libras. For instance, rose pink symbolizes love and compassion. Meanwhile, opal is the primary birthstone that stands for harmony, balance, and transformation. Finally, pink tourmaline vibrates with love and emotional healing for Libras struggling to be at their best.

Pearls and Hidden Depths

A Libra might go for pink nails with pearls and submerged stars because they're ruled by Venus, the planet of love and beauty, so they tend to have a strong appreciation for aesthetics. It could also reflect their romantic side. Moreover, Libras are usually social butterflies, so they would enjoy the attention and compliments that come with a glamorous manicure. And of course, it's their birthday—what better time to show off a little?

An Airy French Manicure

Here’s a gorgeous Libra twist on a classic look. Instead of a white smile line, there are glittery cloud tips. Since Libras belong to the air element like Aquarius and Gemini, it governs their love for communication and social interactions. When others see this opalescent manicure, it’s definitely going to be the centerpiece of attention.

While much is made of Libra’s preference for justice and beauty, not much is said about their intellectual abilities. But consider who’s on the list of famous and smart September and October babies: Sigourney Weaver, Barbara Walters, and Emily Dickinson.

Edgy, Fresh, and Right in Season

There’s just one problem with pretty pinks and pastels. They just don’t suit everyone’s style. Some folks love Halloween and want to celebrate as soon as October begins. Those Libras can find solace in a little known aspect of the season. Green is also a Libra thing! The gem peridot is linked to this sign and it’s a vibrant green color. Plus, green is associated with freshness as well as harmony and love which are Libra traits. So here are fun spider web nails with shimmery green cat eye polish and chrome designed for a Libra!

Libras Have Strong Roots

Did you know that this sign was recognized by astrologers in ancient Babylonia? However, back then, it wasn’t independent. It made up the claws of the constellation Scorpio. Weirdly, this two-constellation association led to Libra symbolizing harmony and balance.

In later centuries, the Greeks linked Libra to the goddess of justice, Themis. Archaeologists found art with Themis holding a scale to show balance and fairness. Then, the Romans went down a slightly different road and said Libra was under the care of Astraea, the goddess of purity and innocence. However, Astraea was not naïve. She also maintained order and fairness and carried scales just like Themis.

Sadly, Astraea eventually gave up on humans and left the Earth. It’s predicted that one day she will return and start a new Golden Age with justice and harmony for all. Until then, it’s up to Libras everywhere to carry on making the world a better place.

Conclusion

We hope these Libra nail designs fired up your creative spirit and inspired you to add balance and harmony to your next manicure. There’s a lot to love about this Zodiac sign and much room for innovation!
